How To Subscribe

Cascade Community Wind Company presents you an opportunity to receive your power directly from a turbine of your choosing. You know exactly where your power is coming from and that your subscription helped to make local renewable energy a reality. Community wind turbine subscriptions are conceptually similar to Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) where individuals pay in advance for goods produced by a local farm. In the wind energy model,  a subscriber pays a one-time subscription fee for a percentage of the power produced by a local wind turbine for the next 20 years. These subscription funds help pay the upfront costs to erect a community wind turbine. Then a percentage (equal to the subscription percentage) of the power produced by the turbine is used to pay down your electric utility bill.  The utility company pays the wind turbine for the power it produces (the “big” check) and a percentage of each payment (the “little” check) is then paid by the turbine to each subscriber’s utility account.  Anyone, anywhere can subscribe.  If a subscriber moves or changes utilities, the subscription goes with them.
