Moratorium on Wind Development in Whatcom County

The Whatcom County Council recently declared an emergency moratorium on wind energy development using larger turbines in all of Whatcom County. Action at the County Council meeting on Tuesday night was fast, furious, and decisive as the result of a small group of people petitioning their government for protection from wind energy development on rural forestry land at the top of Squalicum Mountain.
